Anissa Olmos is an African-American/Mexican Austin based actress that was born and raised in a small town in Alabama . She enlisted in the Army at the age of 22 serving as a Medic for five years . It was during this time that she discovered her love for performing arts. She started off doing improv at the Hideout Theater and then furthering her craft with ongoing study of the Meisner technique with Laurel Vouvray . Anissa was born to a mother who suffers from Schizophrenia and bi polar disorder and is very passionate about spreading awareness of mental disorders in the black and brown community. Some Of her hobbies are Mixed Martial Arts , Weapons training , esthetics , writing , and running . She is currently co-writing a screen-play centered around her and her sibling’s life growing with their Mother.
