Marina DeYoe-Pedraza

Marina DeYoe-Pedraza is an Ohio-Rican raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She graduated from Hofstra University with a BFA in Performance. She has lived in Austin since 2014 performing as an actor, dancer, and puppeteer. She has worked with ZACH Theatre, Teatro Vivo, The Scottish Rite Children’s Theatre, Theatre en Bloc, and The Vortex. She is a company member of Glass Half Full Theatre, Ballet East, and Salvage Vanguard Theater. She has been awarded B.Iden Payne Awards for Best Actress in Theatre for Young Audiences, Outstanding Lead in a Digital Production, and Best Puppetry. In 2018 she created her solo piece, Vulva Pope: Our Lady of the Sacred Part. This one-person show addresses systemic issues that womxn experience, in regards to healthcare, sexism, and sex education (or the lack thereof), through the perspectives of the objects that are used/owned by womxn.
