Originally from St. Louis, Michael was an athlete and young filmmaker. He majored in theater arts at the University of Missouri and spent his summers in Los Angeles where he studied acting and interned at Twentieth Century Fox in feature casting. After college he moved to LA, booked his first audition to guest star on a popular teen series and started his professional career in film and television. He pursued acting and worked in live television directing publicity shoots for movies, tv shows, music, sports, and politics.

After graduate school he moved to Denver and now lives in Austin where he's a professional counselor, leads a nonprofit, and continues to pursue acting. He also likes a good house project and traveling with his wife and three kids.
