Taye was born in Alabama and raised in the deep south before relocating to Austin, Texas. In Texas, Taye has fronted multiple musical groups. Touring all over the world, he has logged over ten thousand hours in live performance stage time opening for the likes of: BB King, Tom Jones, Ludacris, Zac Brown Band and Fitz & The Tantrums. In Austin, he studied Meisner with acclaimed acting instructor Laurel Vouvray (In the Moment Acting) and hones his skills as a martial artist and boxer at The Void Martial Arts and Dreamcrushers Boxing Club. Taye also enjoys accents drawing from his roots, he is skilled in variations of the American southern accent. In 2020, Taye began studying at The Film Acting Academy with Lee Stringer in Houston, and completed Tim Kennedy's (Green Beret/Sniper) Sheepdog Response Level 1. In 2022 Taye debuted on the CW on Walker.
