Yesenia Garcia Herrington is the recipient of the 2022 Kennedy Center American College and Theatre Festival’s (KCACTF) Uta Hagen Award. This national award is the result of the combined sponsorship of KCACTF, HB Studios, and the College of Fellows of the American Theatre. The award was created in 2019 to honor the centennial birth of legendary actor/director/acting teacher Uta Hagen. The Uta Hagen Award consisted of a week-long Uta Hagen teacher lab at HB Studios in New York City, airfare from KCACTF, and a $1,250.00 stipend check from the Fellows for travel and accommodations in New York City.
